“Eto namang katagumpayan ng ating bansa pinagpapasalamat din natin ‘yung bagong policy direction ni President Duterte wherein hinikayat niya ang mga lokal na pamahalaan na matagumpay na mabakunahan ang kani-kanilang mamamayan na sumali sa National Vaccination Days (This is a victory for our country and we are thankful for the new policy direction of President Duterte in which he encouraged local governments to successfully vaccinate the people during the National Vaccination Days.)” Domagoso said in an interview with reporters in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

More Filipinos will be inoculated before the end of the year should the vaccination drive continues, he added.

“As you can see, the data shown to us, with the concerted effort of all government units through the leadership of President Duterte and IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force), the other day is about 2.4 million ang nabakunahan. Yesterday, 2.2 million. So just imagine if we are doing this every single day, by the end of the year, baka madali na natin ang lahat (we should be able to vaccinate everyone). Everyone now is protected. May panlaban na tayo sa COVID-19 (we now have a defense against COVID-19),” Domagoso noted.

Domagoso also assured that the city government will continue to support President Duterte's campaign to beat the deadly virus.

He thanked the Manila Health Department for its contribution to the city's fight against COVID-19.

“And I would like to at least give credit to my director of Manila Health Department. Sa buong NCR kami ang may pinakamalaking kontribusyon ngayon dahil sa effort ng aming mga doctor. Dito man lang mapasalamatan ko sila na ‘yung pagmamalasakitan sa isat-isa eh nangyayari lalo na sa pandemya (In the whole NCR, we have the biggest contribution due to the efforts of our doctors. At least here I can thank them that caring for each other happens especially in a pandemic),” he said.

He expressed his gratitude to the local officials and the people of Mabalacat for the warm welcome he and his party received during their visit.

Domagoso, along with his running mate, Dr. Willie Ong, and Aksyon Demokratiko senatorial slate, visited the town of Mabalacat as part of his "Listening Tour."
