Bongbong-Sara QC motorcade set on Dec.8 – Rep. Defensor

The party of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio will conduct a motorcade in Quezon City on Dec.8, Anakalusugan Representative Mike Defensor said on Thursday.

This was after the Quezon City government offered to tackle the venue issue with Defensor’s camp on Tuesday, Nov.30.

The motorcade is supposed to culminate in Liwasang Aurora at Quezon City Memorial Circle (QCMC), but Defensor’s camp decided to change the venue after allegedly being given a “runaround” by the city government.

“We’ve abandoned our plans to hold a large gathering in Liwasang Aurora because Mayor Joy Belmonte’s office gave us the runaround and offered us no assurance that we will be able to use the venue despite its availability,” Defensor said.

“We feel that Bongbong and Inday Sara have been treated unfairly and have become victims of political discrimination by the Quezon City government...In fact, many of their supporters in Quezon City are angry at the local government,” he added.

Defensor said that they will have a motorcade along Commonwealth Avenue and Quezon Avenue instead.
