TACLOBAN CITY - 'UniTeam' tandem former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte arrived at the Borongan City Airport to gather support for their campaign Tuesday (November 30).
The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas presidential aspirant and Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats Lakas–CMD vice presidential aspirant held a motorcade from the city to San Juanico Bridge here.
They were accompanied by Majority Floor Leader and Leyte 1st Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez.
Over 70 riders clubs are expected to gather for a unity ride in support of the tandem.
The tandem is also expected to inaugurate their headquarters in the city and meet with local officials in Leyte and Samar provinces.
Although Bongbong's mother Imelda came from Eastern Visayas, he lost in Samar Island and Southern Leyte in the 2016 national elections.Same with Duterte's father, President Rodrigo Duterte, who only won in Leyte, Biliran, and Tacloban City.
