Staring at a 2-0 deficit, Yopaj and Boom Esports showed heart and grit in the next three games to complete the reversal and rule the four-day pocket tournament.

Yopaj shone bright in the all-important Game 3 as he carried Boom with a monster stat line of 31-5-16 using his Ember Spirit. The Indonesia-based squad scored an emphatic 51-26 win after a grueling 71-minute play time to extend the series.

Riding the momentum of its first series win, Boom didn’t waste the opportunity to force a jugular Game 5 after making quick work of the Thai team via a 23-14 triumph in Game 4. Yopaj led the charge once more, this time on his Puck with a 10-3-6 KDA performance.

The deciding game remained tight for the first 40 minutes of the game with Motivate.Trust clinging on a slight net worth lead. However, a huge clash at the 45-minute mark allowed Boom to take out four heroes from the side of the Thais and turn things around.

Boom then only needed a well-executed clash at the 60-minute mark to score another four-man wipe and complete the comeback. Yopaj put the exclamation point on his series-long brilliance with an impressive 24-2-12 KDA on his Zeus.

Boom actually had full control of Game 1 but Motivate.Trust Gaming staged a comeback and successfully pulled it off, 30-32.

The Boom team which was composed of four Filipinos led by its prized off-season recruit Timothy “Tims” Randrup still looked in disarray in Game 2, absorbing a 35-12 beatdown at the hands of the Thais.

With the win, Boom took home the P400,000 cash prize while also getting much-needed momentum builder and confidence booster heading into the SEA DPC Winter Tour set on Wednesday.
