Health Secretary Francisco Duque III has said that minimum public health standards (MPHS) will not be eased like in Europe where COVID-19 cases have once again spiked after mask mandates were eased.

"Ayaw natin matulad dito. Hindi ko sinasabi mabuti nauna sila, ang sinasabi ko matuto tayo (We do not want that to happen to us. I'm not saying that it's a good thing that it happened to them first, what I'm saying is that we should learn from it)," he added.
