There is growing dread and anxiety over the potential of the Omicron coronavirus disease (COVID-19) variant to cause another major wave of infections in the country.

And this is why the National Vaccination Days are coming at a no better time, while the Department of Health (DOH) and the National Task Force on COVID-19 are making sure that all the safety measures are in place to prepare the country for the possible entry of the Omicron variant.

Meanwhile, in a bid to lessen traffic in the metropolis, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that color coding will be resumed.

These are among the top stories this Monday afternoon, November 29, 2021.
