Deterrents and other safety measures are being implemented or considered as the country prepares to deal with any possible entry of the dreaded Omicron coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Face shields, and a bar on the entry of foreigners coming from non-visa-countries are among these strategies.

These are just among the measures being undertaken to prevent another surge that could be debilitating for the country, and spoil whatever successes it has achieved since the Delta variant wrought havoc on the country’s health care capabilities.
