HOW TRUE: Marian Rivera to judge Miss Universe 2021?

Marian Rivera (GMA)

Social media went abuzz following rumors that Kapuso star Marian Rivera will be one of the judges for the 70th Miss Universe Competition, which will be held in Israel on Dec. 12 (Dec. 13 Manila time).

As of Nov. 29, there is no confirmation yet from the Miss Universe Organization and from Marian's camp about the judging duties for the beauty pageant.

Earlier, a blind item from pep.ph said that the Filipino judge is a Kapuso star and a mom.

The MUO usually announces their judges ahead of the finals.

In the Miss Universe pageant, there will be two sets of judges: preliminary and telecast.

The preliminary competition will help select the top 20 semifinalists for the title of Miss Universe.

For the telecast judges, they will select the new Miss Universe.

Initially, netizens thought it was fellow Kapuso star Heart Evangelista who would sit in the judge's panel.

But Heart said in a tweet that she won't be a judge in Miss Universe.

She said that she would be working in Los Angeles, California in December.

Given that Marian would really be one of the judges, then she would be the eight Filipino to judge in the 70-year-history of the popular pageant.
