BIR reshuffles more officials for next year's P3 trillion collection drive


The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has conducted another major personnel changes in preparation for next year's all-out tax collection drive to raise at least P3 trillion in revenues.

The goal is roughly P1 trillion higher than the collection target of P2 trillion for the year.

The latest revamp made by BIR Commissioner Caesar R. Dulay affected 36 key field officials strengthing the 2022 massive tax campaign.

They were mostly regional directors, district officers (RDOs) and their assistants.

They included regional directors Emir U. Abutazil from Davao City to Cagayan de Oro City and Esmeralda M. Tabule from Cagayan de Oro to Davao City.

Some of the RDOs transferred to new assignments were: Teresita Y. Lumayag, Binondo; Amelia C. Combes, Tondo-San Nicolas; Arnel R. Cosinas, San Fernando, Pampanga; Mary Ann B. Cervantes, East Davao City; Gil Vinluan, Calasiao, Pangasinan; Agadhan M. Gyro, Las Pinas City;.Abdullah D. Bandrang, Marikina City.

Binondo RDO Shirley A. Calapatia was promoted assistant director of Legaspi City.
