CEBU CITY – Five graduates from universities based in Cebu were among the topnotchers in the 2021 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination.
Landing in the top 10 of succesfull examinees were two students from Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U), two students from University of San Carlos (USC) and one from Cebu Technological University (CTU)-Danao City Campus.
Kamelle Apurado Legazpi of CIT-U ranked second overall with a passing rate of 92.05 percent.
Another CIT-U graduate, Jodane Estreba Paez scored the fifth highest passing rate with 91.70.
Landing at sixth spot was Frances Noel Bontia Carvajal of CTU-Danao with a passing rate at 91.50.
USC products John Philippe Del Valle Dakay and Mathew Niño Go Dy were tied at eighth spot with identical passing rates of 91.15.
Rajiv Nooh Dalagan Amil of Ateneo de Davao University scored the highest passing rate with 93.25.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 2,374 out of 6,474 examinees passed the examination for a 36.67 passing percentage. The examination was held last November.
