Over 700 seniors receive pension in San Juan


The San Juan City local government started on Wednesday the distribution of social pension for its senior citizens for the 2nd semester of 2021.

According to the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWD), 733 senior citizens of Barangay West Crame have received their social pensions.

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said that the schedule of payouts for the rest of the barangays in San Juan can be found in CSWD's official Facebook page.

CSWD also reminded the beneficiaries to bring the following requirements to claim their pensions:

1. Original Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) ID and black ballpen;

2. Photocopy of OSCA ID back to back (2 copies) with three original signatures or thumbmark in the original ID.

For representatives of beneficiaries:

1. Original OSCA ID of beneficiary;

2. Photocopy of beneficiary’s OSCA ID back to back (2 copies) with same signatures in the original ID and thumbmark;

3. Original valid ID of the representative (2 photocopies) with same original signature in the ID;

4. Authorization Letter indicating the relationship to the beneficiary and the purpose to claim, with signature and thumbmark of beneficiary;

5. Picture of beneficiary with representative holding a newspaper or calendar with the date visible.

If the beneficiary has died:

1. Original Death Certificate of the beneficiary

with Registry No. or Certified True Copy

of Local Civil Registry with registry nunmber.

(2 copies);

2. Photocopy of the representative's ID with same original signature in the ID;

3. Original Senior OSCA ID;

4. Photocopy of beneficiary’s OSCA ID.
