Navotas City records lowest active COVID-19 cases

The local government of Navotas City beat its own record when it posted its lowest COVID-19 active cases.

As of November 23, the city logged only 14 active cases.

"Wish granted. We've prayed and worked hard for our numbers to go down. This shows that all our efforts and sacrifices have born fruit," Mayor Toby Tiangco said.

"We cannot thank enough all our frontliners for their steadfast service to the city, and every Navoteño for doing their part in preventing the spread of COVID. Let us continue to keep each other safe by following the health protocols and getting ourselves vaccinated," he added.

According to the City Health Office, they received 108 swab test results from the Philippine Red Cross, which all turned out negative.

The city government started administering booster shots to senior citizens and persons with comorbidities on Wednesday, Nov.24.
