Laguna lifts liquor ban as COVID-19 cases decline

LAGUNA – The provincial government has lifted the liquor ban as coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the province continue to decline.

Executive Order No. 35, Series of 2021, signed by Gov. Ramil L. Hernandez on Monday (Nov. 22), allows the consumption of alcohol in commercial establishments now that the province is under the less restrictive Alert Level 2.

However, the sale of liquor to minors and consumption of alcohol in public roads and streets, plazas, government offices, and other public places remain prohibited.

As of Nov. 22, Laguna has 282 active COVID-19 cases, with seven local government units recording zero active cases.
