The Commission on Elections (Comelec) Second Division will also handle two more petitions filed against presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

The Comelec’s Office of the Clerk of the Commission confirmed this information on Wednesday, Nov. 24.

The Office was referring to the petition filed by Tiburcio Marcos seeking to cancel the certificate of candidacy (COC) of the former senator and the petition of Danilo Lihaylihay seeking to declare Marcos as a nuisance candidate.

Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez earlier announced that the petition filed by Fr. Christian Buenafe et al seeking to cancel Marcos’ COC was also raffled to the same division.

The poll body already set the preliminary conference on the petition of Buenafe on Nov. 26.

There is no update yet on the petition-in-intervention filed against Marcos as well as the petition seeking his disqualification.

Meanwhile, the petition filed against senatorial aspirant Raffy Tulfo was also raffled to the Second Division.

The petition filed by a certain Julieta Pearson seeks to cancel the COC of Tulfo.

The Second Division is composed of Commissioners Socorro Inting and Antonio Kho Jr.
