DAVAO CITY – Anti-narcotics agents of the provincial office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Davao de Oro arrested a suspected drug personality and a cohort in a buy-bust operation, the PDEA said on Monday, Nov. 22.
According to the PDEA, the buy-bust was conducted on Friday, Nov. 19 at around 8:35 pm in Purok 10, Poblacion, Nabunturan town. The suspects, the PDEA said, sold a piece of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of one gram worth P10,000 to a PDEA Agent who acted as poseur buyer.
The suspect, identified as April Am Melchor Caboy, was tagged as top 1 in the province's Target List. Caboy was arrested with another suspect, Novelyn Duray. Both suspects are 28 years old and are residents in Barangay Poblacion.
Two pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of two grams and a street value of P30,000 and the buy-bust marked money were also found in their possession.
The PDEA said the suspects will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
