Notorious drug pusher in Bulacan yields close to P1M guns, drugs


Guns and illegal drugs worth P890,000 were seized from a notorious drug pusher who was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Bulacan police in Barangay Caniogan in the City of Malolos on Monday, Nov. 22.

Col. Manuel M. Lukban Jr., Bulacan police director, identified the suspect as Alejandro Paloma alias "Negro" of Barangay Sto. Niño, Plaridel, Bulacan.

He was arrested by operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Malolos City Police Station.

Recovered from Paloma were five heat-sealed plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated weight of 131 grams and worth P890,800 as well as one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of dried marijuana leaves with an estimated weight of 2.74 grams with an estimated value of P328.

Also recovered were two Caliber 45; one Cal. 38; several rounds of ammunition; one motorcycle; one cell phone; assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.

Paloma is now in the custody of the Malolos police. He is facing charges for violation of Sections 5, 11, and 12 of R.A. 9165 and R.A. 10591.

Lukban said that the Bulacan police will remain steadfast in carrying out the directive of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) Director Brig. Gen. Matthew P. Baccay for an intensified anti-drug campaign in the province.
