Pasay City COVID-19 patients receive food packs

The Pasay City government distributed food packs on Saturday (Nov. 20) to 47 COVID-19 patients for their immediate recovery.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said each food pack contains six kilos of rice, 10 pieces of Energen drinks, ready to eat food, and vitamins.

Rubiano said the city government distributes food assistance to COVID-19 patients weekly in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) reported that the 47 patients are already on their way to recovery.

Citing the CESU report, the city mayor said that out of 201 barangays in the city, only 28 remain with active cases.

She said 23 barangays are still under localized enhanced community quarantine (LECQ).

The mayor told residents to follow the basic health protocols or the EMI Habit (ensure to always wash your hand, mask is a must and implement physical distancing) to prevent the spread of the dreaded disease.
