The Valenzuela City local government announced the temporary closure of the Family Park starting Nov. 18.
The local government made the move after observing that health and safety protocols were not followed when visitors lined up outside the park, waiting for their turn to get in.
Mayor Rex Gatchalian said in a tweet that they are now crafting a new scheduling scheme to address the social distancing issues.
The residents were advised to wait for the local government’s announcement for the reopening of the park.
The city’s Family Park in Brgy. Karuhatan, along with the Polo Park, reopened on Monday, Nov.15, after Metro Manila was placed under the more relaxed Alert level 2 quarantine status.
Polo Park is still open to accommodate visitors everyday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
