The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) approved on Wednesday, Nov. 17, the resumption of onsite classes at the Universidad de Manila (UDM) for nursing and physical therapy classes.
UDM President Felma Carlos-Tria said that onsite classes will resume on Thursday, Nov. 18.
The university is also preparing to open more facilities to accommodate other classes.
“Although these are the first two courses that will go on limited face-to-face (classes), we are already preparing the facilities for our other programs as well," said Carlos-Tria.
Meanwhile, the university has coordinated with the Depart of Health and the Manila Health Department regarding the health protocols that it has adopted to minimize the risk of coronavirus infection in the campus.
"Our safety measures include following a rigid schedule for disinfection, students staying in the classroom, implementing a staggered and cyclical schedule to ensure that the students won't be coming in and won't be dismissed at the same time, providing alcohol dispensers in every room, and ensuring well-ventilated classrooms," said Carlos-Tria.
