Vermilion, Rellyclips don PH colors in Esports World Championship


Raphael "Vermilion" Cueva and Jorrel "RellyClips" Aristorenas will be representing the country in the 13th International Esports Federation (IESF) Esports World Championships set on Nov. 16 to 20 in Eilat, Israel.

Five hundred esports athletes from 85 different countries will be testing each other’s mettle in the four official esports titles featured in the tournament namely, Tekken 7, eFootball™ 2022, Dota 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Audition will also be part of the tournament although as a promotional title.

Vermilion will be competing in Tekken 7 while Rellyclips will be battling it out against the elites in eFootball™ 2022.

“Join us as we wish our delegates good luck in the upcoming 13th IESF Esports World Championship 2021 in Eilat, Israel,” said Philippine Esports Organization in a post on its Facebook page.

The country is one of the seven Asian countries who have sent representatives in Eliat after a series of qualification rounds in the national and regional levels in the past few months.

Joining the Philippine delegation in the Asian contingents are esports athletes from South Korea, Mongolia, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

Preliminary stages will happen on Nov. 17 for all games while the Tekken 7 and eFootball™ 2022 Grand Finals will be on Nov. 18.
