The all-Filipino squad vented out its frustrations to the Argentina-based team to bounce back from an opening day defeat to China’s ThunderTalk Gaming.

"El Kapitan” James “Hamez” Santos dictated the tempo in TS’ 15-4 onslaught in Game 1 using his support Gragas that finished with a spotless 0-0-12 KDA

A clash in the mid lane at the nine-minute mark allowed the Filipinos to pick off three champions from EBG. TS also managed to take down all of the three mid-lane towers in the process to build an early 8k gold lead.

It was all TS from that point Robert “Trebor” Mansilungan on the Jax dominated every team fight, and even scored a triple kill in a top lane clash at the 12-minute mark. Hamez then initiated the last clash which sealed the deal for the PH squad.

Hamez’s Gragas knocked two EBG champions airborne to score a three-man wipe in the final skirmish to draw the series’ first blood.

TS showed no let up in Game 2 as it cruised to an easy 23-4 win to close out the series.

EBG suffered a massacre at the hands of Team Secret as the Filipinos came out red-hot in the second game with an early 16-1 kill score in the first nine minutes of the game.

Heri “Tatsurii” Garcia was unstoppable on his Katarina with a stellar 11-2-3 performance to lead the charge for the Filipinos while Hamez continued his fine play on the Thresh with perfect 1-0-11 showing in Game 2 which only ran for 15 minutes.

TS currently sits at the third spot of Group B standings with a 1-1 record. The Filipinos will continue its quest for the first-ever Horizon Cup title when it collides with Group leaders and still unbeaten Team Queso from Spain.
