Valenzuela City gov't allows flea markets, bazaars to operate

The Valenzuela City government announced on Saturday, Nov. 13 that flea markets or "tiangge", bazaars, and other pop-up booths are now allowed to operate in the city.

The approval was based on the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Resolution No.21-27 which allows small businesses to operate this coming Christmas season.

Vendors, organizers, and other employees must be fully vaccinated and are required to present their COVID-19 vaccination cards.

Interested residents may get their free written permits at the City Business Inspection and Audit Team (CBAT).

The local government also allowed non-contact group activities following Metro Manila's placement under the Alert level 2 quarantine status.
