Nearly 2K COVID-19 cases detected---DOH

The Department of Health (DOH) said that close to 2,000 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases were confirmed on Saturday, Nov. 13.

Another 1,997 new people tested positive for COVID-19. These new cases pushed the country’s cumulative tally of cases to 2,815,080. Only one percent or 29,382 of the total tally remain active or those who are still sick.

Sixty-three percent of the active cases have mild symptoms, 16.34 percent are in moderate condition, 10.1 percent have severe symptoms, 5.6 percent are asymptomatic, and 4.3 percent are in critical condition.

The death toll soared to 45,272, or 1.61 percent of the overall count---- after 238 more people died.

Meanwhile, 1,696 others survived, raising the recovery total to 2,740,426 or 97.3 percent of the case count.

The DOH continues to remind the public to strictly follow the health protocols and get vaccinated to further decrease the number of infections.
