Michael Juico powered AICC Manila past FSD Makati-Army, 86-83, with a booming triple with one second left while Davao Occidental outhustled the San Juan Knights in double overtime, 120-115.
The victories extended AICC Manila and Davao Occidental’s winning streaks to six and five games, respectively, to hike their win-loss standings at 6-1.
Juico scattered seven of his 18 points in the last 1:09 of the game to lead AICC Manila, while Chris Bitoon and Michael Mabulac added 17 and 16 points.
Meanwhile, Joseph Terso, Gab Dagangon and Aldwin Alday uncorked a 9-2 run midway the extra period to lead Davao Occidental in turning back San Juan.
Robby Celiz flirted with a triple-double for Davao Occidental with 26 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists, while John Wilson chipped in 23 points and seven assists.
FSD Makati and San Juan skidded to 1-6 and 4-2 marks.
In the other match, Burlington EOG Sports mauled 7A Primus, 102-79, for 4-3.
Burlington set the tone in the second quarter after limiting 7A Primus to seven points to turn its 32-25 deficit to a 51-39 lead.
Byron Villarias paced Burlington with 23 points while Jett Vidal and Lorenzo Navarro added 11 points each.
Joseph Marquez scored 20 points in a losing effort for 7A Primus, who skidded to 2-5.
