The two-time MPL Philippines champion is coming off from a runner-up finish in the ONE Esports: MPL Invitational and the team decided to take a much-deserved break after a grueling three week stretch starting from the MPL Philippines playoffs

“Sa ngayon we will take a break kasi simula MPL hanggang up to this point di pa kami (nakakapahinga), even yung mag celebrate ng championship naming sa MPL, di pa namin nagawa,” said Bon Chan when asked about the preparations of the team for the M3 in the aftermath of its match against Onic Indonesia in the MPLI Grand Finals.

The veteran tactician shared that the team had a handful of tasks, from arranging papers and documents, as well as the player’s COVID-19 vaccinations, in order to fly to Singapore for the M3.

In the middle of that, the team was also preparing for the MPL Invitational.

“Priniority namin ‘yung vaccine ‘yung passport so malalaman natin pagbalik namin. Magbibreak lang kami ng kaunti. Then balik na kami sa preparation ng M3,” explained Bon Chan.

Blacklist was drawn in Group A and will face M World series first-timers Red Canids from MPL Brazil, Malvinas Gaming from Latin America Qualifiers and Bedel from the Turkey Qualifiers.

Blacklist needs to finish at the top 2 spot in its grouping after a one game, single round robin group stage to punch a ticket to the upper bracket of the playoffs.

The two-time MPL champions will immediately see action in the Day 1 of the tournament on December 6 against Red Canids at 2 p.m., Bedel at 4 p.m. before rounding out its group stage with a match against Malvina Gaming at 6 p.m. (all schedules in Manila time).
