Matthew Aquino saw very limited action in his very first B.League game that ended with the Shinshu Brave Warriors taking down the Akita Happinets, 76-51, at home Saturday, Nov. 6.

Aquino was inserted with 2:27 left in the contest and scored the final basket of the contest held at the White Ring Arena in Nagano.

Shinshu improved to 6-4 going into the last of a two-game set the following day at the same venue.

The son of former Ginebra center Marlou Aquino had not seen action for Shinshu in the B.League prior to the match with Akita.

But Aquino did play limited minutes when the Brave Warriors won all matches in the Emperor’s Cup.

Wayne Marshall was one of four Shinshu players in double figures with 18 points.

Alex Davis and Jordan Glynn scored 13 and 11 points but Akita fell to 4-6.
