While most Malls all over the country have spent the last few days with their Christmas tree launchings, and kicked off their holiday season promotions; leave it to the ultimate upscale Mall, Rockwell Land’s Power Plant in Makati, to do things quite differently, and have three big Christmas trees within the one Mall. And that’s why my title isn’t some grammatical or spelling error.
Over at Power Plant, there’s a 12 meters high Christmas tree at the North Court, by Marks & Spencer; and over by the Mall Expansion area, by Starbucks, you’ll find a second tree, this one seven meters high. And the granddaddy tree can be found at the P2 level, by Shawa Wama, and this one is 17 meters high, and took three days to install. It’s a marvel to view from the second or third levels, as you look down to the base of the tree. It’s literally Power Plant’s Christmas Three!
And of course, the Rockwell tradition of cute, animatronic animal displays is back, situated strategically within the Mall. This is the one that provides perfect IG moments for all the Mall visitors - regardless of age, and has all the young children jumping and squealing in delight. One such display has Snow Tigers and Snow Leopards welcoming us to Power Plant.
If we’re talking tradition, I can sense the adults out there, who are regular patrons of Power Plant, are wondering about the car raffle. And yes, don’t worry, it is back, with the grand prize this year, a Land Rover Defender 110 (Explorer Pack). Raffle redemptions are done digitally this time - customer receipts will come with a code that you need to type into the Rockwellist mobile app, and the corresponding raffle entries and reward points will be reflected into your account in real-time. There’s Rockwell Goes Streetside on the weekends of November & December. This will happen at Lopez Drive and Plaza Drive, with all-day al fresco dining, and holiday fairs that ArteFino, Spectrum, and The Tasting Club will help organize. Artisanal crafts, charcuterie sets, accessories and stylish homegrown apparel will all be on display and for sale.
This al fresco dining experience extends to other Rockwell retail properties, such as Santolan Town Plaza in San Juan, the Grove Retail Row in Pasig, and the Arton Strip in Katipunan. It’s all about being part of the Rockwell community.
