TNT to parade McKenzie Moore in import-laden second conference

Philippine Cup champion TNT is bringing in a PBA debutant that has previous ties with the team in McKenzie Moore for the league’s import-laden second conference which could start later this month.

Team manager Gabby Cui expressed confidence that the 29-year-old Moore can provide the needs for the Tropang Giga, who are eyeing another title following their recent All-Filipino triumph at the expense of the Magnolia Pambansang Manok Hotshots.

“We believe his versatility and experience can help us for the second conference,” said Cui.

Moore did play for TNT in the past, serving as one of two imports during the team’s short campaign in the 2019 East Asia Super League Terrific 12 in Macau.

He played just one game in Macau, scoring 41 points while grabbing seven rebounds in TNT’s 96-91 loss to Chinese Basketball Association side Liaoning Flying Leopards.

Moore has also been a familiar name in the Philippines as part of Mighty Sports’ title victories in the 2019 William Jones Cup and the 2020 Dubai Invitational.

In those two triumphant runs, Moore was a teammate of current TNT rookie and Philippine Cup Finals Most Valuable Player Mikey Williams.

Moore also has past international experiences in New Zealand, Belgium, Greece, Poland, Turkey, Russia and Israel.
