Over 1,000 minors aged 12 to 17 were inoculated in Pasig City on Nov. 3, the first day of the national rollout of COVID-19 vaccines for the young population.

According to the Pasig Public Information Office, more than 1,100 minors were vaccinated at Pasig Sports Center and Tanghalang Pasigueño.

The city is also aiming to inoculate 3,000 junior high school (JHS) and senior high school (SHS) students from two public schools on Nov. 4.

Furthermore, the Pasig Schools Division Office (SDO) in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepED) is pushing for the immunization of 46,000 JHS and SHS students in the city.

The city has deployed six city buses to transport the vaccinees and their respective guardians to expedite the vaccination of public school students.

The Pasig SDO is also working to vaccinate students in private schools.

Pasig is one of the cities that spearheaded the initial pediatric vaccination program for minors with comorbidities on Oct. 15.
