Pangasinan shifts to MGCQ in November, Dagupan City stays at GCQ

DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan — The National Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has placed the entire province of Pangasinan — excluding Dagupan City, under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) come November.

According to the IATF resolution, as per delivered by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Friday, October 29, the province will shift down to MGCQ on November 1 until November 30.

It could be recalled that in the days prior to the approval of the downgrade, Pangasinan Governor Amado I. Espino III sent a letter to the national IATF to appeal to place the province inder MGCQ, as COVID-19 cases in the province continue to drop.

As of October 29, 6 p.m. monitoring of the provincial health office, Pangasinan now only has 931 active cases, after 69 new cases have been recorded.

Dagupan City, an independent component city in the province’s centerpoint, only has six active cases.

Dagupan City will be placed under GCQ throughout November.

Meanwhile, the provincial government reiterates incoming individuals should apply for an S-pass to be able to enter the province.
