BTS, TXT, ‘Squid Game’ bag nominations at 2021 People’s Choice Awards

K-pop boy bands and Big Hit Music artists BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and Netflix’s global hit Korean series “Squid Game” have been nominated at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards.

The PCAs will be held on Dec. 7 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California and will be broadcast on NBC and E!.

BTS are nominated in three categories. They are nominated for The Group of 2021 along with Coldplay, Dan + Shay, Imagine Dragons, Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5, Migos and twenty one pilots.

BTS’ “Butter” is running for The Song of 2021 against “Bad Habits” of Ed Sheeran, “Easy On Me” of Adele, “good 4 u” of Olivia Rodrigo, “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” of Lil Nas X, “Peaches” of Justin Bieber feat. Daniel Caesar & Giveon, “STAY” of The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber and “Up” of Cardi B.

In addition, BTS’ “Butter” and “My Universe” by Coldplay X BTS are nominated for The Music Video of 2021.

TXT are nominated for The New Artist of 2021, competing against 24kGoldn, Bella Poarch, Giveon, Olivia Rodrigo, Rauw Alejandro, Tate McRae and The Kid LAROI.

Meanwhile, “Squid Game” is nominated for The Bingeworthy Show of 2021 along with “Cobra Kai,” “Loki,” “Mare of Easttown,” “Outer Banks,” “Sex/Life,” “Ted Lasso” and “The White Lotus.”
