Thirdy Ravena faces Ray Parks Jr. in rare midweek B.League action

Ray Parks Jr. will face another Ravena in Thirdy as Japan’s B.League holds a rare midweek schedule Wednesday, Oct. 27.

Parks and the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins travel to Toyohashi City to face Thirdy and the San-En Neophoenix at 7:05 p.m. local time (6:05 p.m. Philippine time).

The Parks-Ravena faceoff is part of a busy night for all seven Filipino players who are in the Japanese league’s top division.

Kobe Paras and Niigata Albirex play a road game at Alvark Tokyo, one of the league’s top clubs, Dwight Ramos and the winless Toyama Grouses host the Osaka Evessa while Matthew Aquino hopes to makes his debut for the Shinshu Brave Warriors opposite Levanga Hokkaido.

Javi Gomez de Liano may see action for the first time as Ibaraki visits the Mikawa Sea Horses even as Kiefer Ravena and the Shiga Lakestars play at home against the Kawasaki Brave Thunders.

All games are also set at 7:05 p.m. (6:05 p.m. PH time).

Parks and the Diamond Dolphins are coming off a split of their two-game series with Kiefer and the Lakestars over the weekend in Nagoya to go 4-4 in the season.

Parks produced contrasting numbers against Shiga, firing a season-high 22 points in a 107-68 rout before being held to seven points the following day which saw Nagoya losing 110-79.

Thirdy had seven points and seven rebounds the last time as San-En ended a three-game skid with an 88-63 victory over Ibaraki.

Second division players Juan Gomez de Liano of Earthfriends Tokyo Z and Kemark Carino of the Aomori Wat's won't see action until the first week of November.
