Thousands of people flock to Manila Bay dolomite beach


About 6,000 people flocked to the Manila Bay Dolomite Beach on Sunday morning, Oct. 24.

According to the Manila Police District Police Station 5, around 6,000 individuals spent their Sunday morning at the controversial beach as of 7 a.m.

The police also said it was peaceful at the beach despite the number of people.

The beach was reopened to the public on Saturday (Oct. 16) following the implementation of the Alert Level 3 in the National Capital Region.

Elements of the police and staff were dispatched in the area to ensure that the minimum health protocols such as wearing of face mask and face shield and practicing physical distancing are being strictly followed.

Staff can also be seen holding signages to remind the people to observe the minimum health protocols.

The beach is open daily between 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
