Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. wants to finish the year 2021 with a bang as far as the government’s vaccination program is concerned.

Galvez has set a lofty target of 1.5 million daily jabs starting in November, which he said is crucial in inoculating 77 million out of 110 million Filipinos against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by year’s end.

Before this, Malacañang has repeatedly said this past week that the Philippines now has an abundance of doses of the COVID-19 vaccines.

In other news, Vice President Leni Robredo reminded Filipinos–especially those reeling from the successive fuel price hikes these past couple of months–that she was the one who originally called for the freeze in fuel excise tax three years ago.

At any rate, Robredo says she is glad that her fellow presidential aspirants in the May 2022 elections are taking a similar stance on fuel excise tax.
