Even as Rizal Province logged 194 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), it also recorded 288 new recoveries from the disease as of Wednesday, Oct. 20.
The provincial government, in a Facebook post, revealed that a total of 1,729 active cases were recorded as of Oct. 20 as compared to 1,832 active cases on Oct. 19.
The province now has a total of 65,525 recovered cases out of the total 69,224 confirmed cases.
Antipolo City, with its projected 2020 population of 883,652, ranked first in terms of having the most number of active cases, with 477 cases, followed by Taytay with 300 active cases.
The province, including Cavite and Laguna in Region 4-A, were placed under Alert Level 3 from October 20 to 31.
The office of Rizal Governor Rebecca “Nini” Ynares announced that the province has been implementing a 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. uniform curfew hours since October 20, the first day of the enforcement of the Alert Level 3 in the province.
