The Delta AY.4.2 variant of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has yet to be detected in the country, according to the Department of Health (DOH). And with the effects of the vicious Delta variant still being felt, Filipinos are hoping that this new variant or sublineage stays away from the country.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has thanked China for its donation of 2,000 metric tons of rice for distribution to victims of recent disasters and those affected by lockdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

President Duterte also debunked claims that his government’s campaign against illegal drugs has only nabbed small fry, and pointed out that a recent big-time drug bust resulted in the killing of four Chinese illegal drug dealers.
