The Municipality of Orani in Bataan has tapped PayMaya to start building its "digital-first community."
Citizens can now enjoy the convenience of paying their taxes and other government fees at the Orani Municipal Hall via PayMaya QR and using any credit, debit, prepaid card, and other e-wallets through PayMaya One—PayMaya's all-in-one Android-based payment device.
Soon, taxpayers can also pay via the local government's website equipped with PayMaya's online payment gateway, PayMaya Checkout. Citizens and businesses alike will also be able to settle their dues using payment links with the PayMaya Digital Invoice, which the local government will directly send to their registered email accounts.
As part of Orani's thrust to encourage residents to use digital transactions, it is now disbursing financial assistance to citizen beneficiaries via PayMaya. It recently distributed PayMaya cards to senior citizens for their social pension. The Municipality is also sending its financial support under the Bigay Pag-asa residents program—a health-related cash assistance program—and Tulong Galing program—a scholarship support program for students Grades 7-10.
Barangay captains, barangay tanods, Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons (Youth Community Leaders), barangay-level PWD Association presidents, and health workers will also now receive their allowance via PayMaya.
Moreover, to equip local businesses in the city, the Orani local government will soon roll out PayMaya QR payments acceptance to Orani Public Market and Orani Fish Port merchants.
