A 31-year-old woman accused of violating anti-child abuse and anti-rape laws was arrested by operatives of the Manila Police District (MPD) in Calauan, Laguna on Sunday, Oct. 17.
Police said the woman, Joyse Tolentino Garbo, a resident of Paco, Manila, was apprehended by the MPD team led by Police Lt. Veronica Apresurado and Police Lt. Col. Evangeline Cabayan.
Garbo was nabbed on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Bajarias-Hermogeno
for violation of Republic Act (RA) 7610, Article III, Section 5 (Child Prostitution and Other Sexual Abuse) and RA 8353, Article 266-A, Section 2 (The Anti-Rape Law).
She is currently under the custody of Ermita Police Station 5. No bail was recommended for her case. (Seth Cabanban)
