Mayor Francisco and presidential contender “Isko Moreno” Domagoso is willing to adopt non-Aksyon Demokratiko aspirants to his party’s Senate slate.
“Ang gusto ko, sama sila dahil naniniwala sila na ang aming ipinaglalaban ay yung katatayuan ng taong bayan (What I want is that they join because they believe in our fight for the status of the people)” said Domagoso at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Corazon C. Aquino Hospital in Tondo, Manila, on Monday, Oct. 18.
“Immaterial whether they are Liberal, Lakas, PRP (People’s Reform Party), PDP (Partido Demokratiko Pilipino), o. kung ano man partido man ngayon willing kaming makatrabaho kahit sino, Akbayan group, Makabayan group (Whatever parties there are now, we will work with anyone, Akbayan group, Makabayan group),” he explained.
He was then asked if there were any other politicians who have approached him looking to join his party.
“May mga ilan but I want them to say it, gusto ko sila ang magsabi (There were some but I want them to say it, I want them to announce it),” said Domagoso.
Thousands of politicians have taken their oath to join Aksyon Demokratiko. One of them was Caloocan Rep. Edgar “Egay” Erice, a former Liberal Party stalwart.
Former solicitor general Florin Hilbay announced his resignation from Aksyon Demokratiko on Monday, and endorsed the presidential bid of Vice President Leni Robredo. (Seth Cabanban)
