Pia Wurtzbach picks winning question for Miss South Africa 2021

Newly crowned Miss South Africa 2021 Lalela Mswane began her exciting journey in the pageant world as she prepares to represent her country in the Miss Universe 2021 Competition which will be held in Israel in December.

Mswane, 24, edged out 29 other contestants for the prestigious crown.

Before she became Miss South Africa, Mswane worked as a professional model. She also owns the Lalela Mswane Foundation which aims to empower the youth.

At the Miss South Africa 2021 pageant last Oct. 16, former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach who sat as one of the judges asked Mswane the winning question in the final Q and A round.

Wurtzbach asked Mswane: "The elections are coming up. What are you looking for in a leader?"

Mswane answered: "What I look for in a leader is somebody who is self-aware, very accountable, and encourages critical thinking in a nation and action. But most importantly, prioritizes the development of every people in South Africa. I believe that a phenomenal leader possesses all these qualities."

On Instagram, Mswane thanked family, friends, and fans for supporting her in her pageant journey.
