Juan Gomez de Liano and the Tokyo Z Earthfriends suffered an 84-61 drubbing from the Sendai 89ers and remained winless in five games in Division II of the Japan B.League at the Ota City General Gymnasium Sunday, Oct. 17.

Devin Oliver unleashed 24 points, five rebounds, and three assists and Jerome Meyinsse scored 22 points on top of six rebounds, five blocks, three assists for Sendai.
Justin Burrell and Seiya Tanaka also contributed 16 and 11 markers, respectively, for the 89ers.
Just like in previous games, Tokyo was not able to contest Sendai's offensive run midgame as the 89ers led as many as 16 points at the end of halftime, 41-25, capped by a Tanaka three-pointer.
Tokyo hanged on as Mark Eddie Noelia powered through the third quarter with nine points but still wasn't enough as Sendai continues to convert baskets courtesy of Meyinsse and Oliver heading into the payoff period.
De Liano, who suited up for 12:19 minutes, only had one free throw for a score and fired blanks out of his four field goal attempts.
The Earthfriends, who shared the bottom rankings with the Aomori Wat's, anchored on Noelia anew with 19 points, eight rebounds, and one assist.
Sendai, who improved to a 3-2 record, and Tokyo will battle once again Monday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. (Manila time).
