Over P100-K shabu seized in Quezon City buy-bust


Combined Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agents (PDEA) and the local police confiscated on Friday, Oct. 15, more than P100,000 worth of shabu following the arrest of five drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City.

PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region (RO-NCR) officer-in-charge (OIC) Irvin John R. Coderis identified the suspects as Dominique Angeles, 23; Alvin Angeles, 18; Domingo Laurente Jr., 28; Bobet Bareno, 18; and Patrick Cruz, 28.

A drug den was also dismantled in Barangay Unang Sigaw during the 4:30 p.m. drug bust which was carried out by PDEA and the Quezon City police District (QCPD) Station 3.

Coderis noted that the suspects were collared after being caught transacting with undercover PDEA agents.

The joint teams confiscated 15 grams of suspected shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia and buy-bust money.

Angeles and his cohorts are now facing criminal charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’ (Chito A. Chavez)
