Ready to challenge all standards

Nissan unveils the all-new Almera

Nissan Philippines, Inc. wants to “challenge all standards” with its new subcompact sedan packed with first-in-class features. The all-new Almera was launched at a virtual event last Friday, October 8th, 2021. With the battle cry

Exterior

The all-new Almera boasts of a sleeker, spacious, and more comfortable design. It’s evident in this latest generation that’s longer, lower, and wider than its competitors.

The ‘Emotional Geometry’ design language starts up front with the V-motion grille, boomerang shaped LED signature daytime running lights, LED headlamps and tail lamps. The roof seemingly floats thanks to kick-up C-pillars.

It gets even better with the VL N-Sport variant, appointed with LED fog lamps and specially-designed N-Sport front and rear bumpers, a dark V-Motion grille and rolls on 16-inch N-Sport Design alloy wheels on 205/55’s.

Powerplant

The all-new Almera is powered by a turbocharged 1.0 Liter, three-cylinder engine which puts out 100-Ps with class-leading 160-Nm of torque mated to your choice of either a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) or a five-Speed Manual Transmission.

Interior

As with the exterior, the interior has also undergone a complete redesign, retaining its best-in-class head- and legroom. Getting in is easy with the Intelligent Keyless System and you’ll find zero-gravity (driver and front passenger) black leather seats with contrast stitching waiting. The dashboard trim is made of soft-touch materials, the steering wheel is tilt and telescopic adjustable, and behind that you’ll find an instrument cluster with a seven-inch TFT meter with Drive Assist Display. There’s also the eight-inch Advanced Touch Screen Display Audio with Apple CarPlay in the center for all infotainment needs.

Nissan Intelligent Mobility Features

The all-new Almera is now equipped with Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) which makes it the first in its category to have active monitoring and intervention technology. These features are the Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Blind Sport Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Safety and convenience

Nissan is never found lacking in safety. The VL N-Sport is equipped with six airbags while the EL and VE are equipped with two. There’s an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist, Vehicle Dynamic Control, ISO-FIX and Tether Anchors and a high-mount LED stop lamp.

Finding the Almera that’s right for you is easy with several variants available. The VE and VL N-Sport have the Intelligent Keyless System. Those that love gadgets will enjoy the 12-volt and three USB outlets in the VE and VL N-Sport. There are two 12-volt and one USB outlets in the EL. There are also Map, Room and Trunk lamps.

“The all-new Almera is the smart and stylish sedan that first-time owners, growing families, and young professionals can trust,” said Atsushi Najima, President and Managing Director of Nissan in the Philippines. “As part of Nissan’s transformation plan in the Philippines, we are offering a unique and exciting challenger in the competitive passenger car segment.”
