COVID-19 cases in Makati decline sharply


The Makati City local government is seeing a sharp decline in its COVID-19 cases.

Based on the Makati Health Department (MHD) report, the city recorded 733 active cases on Oct. 12, a large decrease from 803 active cases tallied on Oct. 11.

It added that as of Tuesday, there are now 42,032 recoveries and 945 deaths in the city.

The city government attributed the decline in active cases to the continuous vaccination of its residents and non-resident alike.

As of Oct. 10, Makati City has already deployed 680,616 vaccines, with 359,003 individuals inoculated with the first dose and 267,386 fully vaccinated.
