“Yung mga mayayaman sa Pilipinas sana tunay na tumutulong. Sa ibang bansa may mga Rockefeller, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates. Dapat meron din tayo dito pag-support ng mga hospitals, schools natin, ‘yung mga environment natin diba. Yun ‘yung ine-envision ko (I want the rich in our country to help. Other countries have Rockefellers, Warren Buffetts, Bill Gates. We should also have them here to support our hospitals, our schools, and our environment. That is what I envision),” Ong said.

Ong made his point during an interview with Vincent Jerome Agustin, which was posted on the Isko Moreno Domagoso Facebook page on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Ong said that while the Philippines has many talented individuals in various fields, he wants the world to see the Philippines advance in other aspects.

“Oo marami tayong magagaling na singer, boxer, o sa ibang bagay pero dapat naman makita nila na ‘yung Pilipinas talagang umaangat tayo, gumaganda na ‘yung ekonomiya, nagtutulungan (Yes we have many talented singers or boxers and whatnot, but others should see that the Philippines is rising, the economy improving, and helping one another),” he added.

Ong is the running mate of presidential aspirant Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso’s. They filed their certificates of candidacy last Monday, Oct. 4.
