Acer’s first ever ‘Eco-friendly Laptop’
Acer introduced its new laptop from its Earthion Platform, which is designed to tackle environmental challenges. With its commitment to use 100% renewable energy by the year 2035, Acer took the initiative to debut the Aspire Vero, a 15-inch laptop with keycaps and chassis made from 50% post-consumer plastic.
The Aspire Vero is described to be a sustainable-focused notebook. Its outer painting and surface treatments in its laptop casing and packaging material are made from paper, eliminating plastic. Also, the print in the shipping box is printed with soy ink. Besides its impressive eco-features, the Aspire Vero focuses on being repairable and upgradable. Disassembly for repairs is made easy with its standard screws, and both memory and storage are easily upgradeable.

The Acer Aspire Vero comes with a 15.6” FHD display. Its standard screen is a decent laptop for multimedia or professional work. Its keyboard has a multi-gesture secure touchpad, supporting two-finger scroll; pinch; gestures to open Cortana, Action Center, multitasking; Fingerprint application commands.
The Aspire Vero has a distinct, environmentally friendly look with a neutral grey cover and casual yellow pigment dots. The keyboard design is meant to inspire and reinforce eco ideals, with the R and E keys standing out with their yellow colors, and are shown in their mirror image as reminders of the core values of sustainability: REview, REthink, REcycle and Reduce.
Saving important files wouldn’t be a worry with its 8 GB onboard DDR4 system memory as well as an 8 GB dual-channel SO dim DDR4 system memory. Its storage boasts up to 512 GB PCle Gen3, and 8 Gb/s, NVMe.

This eco-friendly laptop is fueled by the latest 11th Generation processors. You can upgrade the Aspire Vero to Core i7 processors, accompanied with Intel Iris Xe Graphics. Similarly, the laptop ships with up to 1TB of M.2 SSD.

This eco-friendly laptop features a WiFi-6, an upgraded version of wireless data transfer technology. Besides that, the chassis is designed with a 1 USB Type-CTM port, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports with one featuring power-off USB charging, 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 HDMI® 2.0 port with HDCP support, 3.5 mm headphone/speaker jack, DC-in jack for AC adapter, and an Ethernet (RJ-45) port.
