San Juan vaccination teams, barangay health workers receive hygiene kits from LGU


San Juan City vaccination teams and barangay health workers received hygiene kits on Monday as the city government and the private sector gave them due recognition for their service in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, together with officials from the FilOil Flying V Centre, distributed the kits to over 500 members of the city's COVID-19 response team as well as barangay health workers.

Zamora said that the whole city of San Juan is grateful for the frontliners’ dedication and efforts in combating the dreaded disease and its more contagious Delta variant.

He assured the public that the city government will continue to support its medical and non-medical personnel as much as they can as he underscored their importance in keeping the COVID-19 situation in the city manageable.

On Sept. 27, the local government distributed the P3,000 cash assistance to various non-medical frontliners and Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) drivers and operators.

On Sept. 13, the LGU also distributed P3,000 cash assistance to around 1,000 barangay workers from 21 barangays in the city.

Zamora also said that the LGU previously gave financial assistance to the city’s medical frontliners and city hall employees. Medical frontliners working in San Juan were given P5,000 cash while city hall employees received P3,000.
