This is because Davao-based artist Jomz Doronila gifted her with a leaf art where he sculpted her face with the words #LetLeniLead.

Doronila put his leaf art in a glass frame and he sent it to the Office of the Vice President (OVP).

In a Twitter post, Raffy Magno, one of the OVP staff members, shared a photo of the vice president holding Doronila’s artwork.

He said Robredo received the leaf art on Monday, October 11.

“Mula Davao, para kay Leni (From Davao, for Leni),” he said in his post with an emoji of Philippine flag.

Magno noted Doronila was among Robredo’s supporters who sought her decision to run for president.

“Si Jomz ay isang (Jomz is a) Davao-based leaf artist na nagbahagi ng talento sa pagkumbinsi kay (who shared his talent to convince) VP Leni Gerona Robredo para tumakbo sa Pagkapangulo (to run for president) #LetLeniLead,” he added.

Robredo announced her presidential bid last Oct. 7, then proceeded to file her Certificate of Candidacy (COC) at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila. She chose Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan as her vice presidential running mate.

The Leni-Kiko tandem is set to announce their Senate full slate this week. Among their initial senatorial candidates are human rights lawyer Chel Diokno, Senators Leila de Lima and Risa Hontiveros, former Ifugao Rep. Teddy Baguilat Jr., and ex-Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

Her announcement came after failed attempts to unify other presidential aspirants including Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Senator Manny Pacquiao, and Senator Panfilo Lacson, all of whom have also filed their COC.
