60 aspire for local elective posts in Antipolo

Sixty aspirants for various elective positions in Antipolo City have filed their Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) before the local office of the Commission on Election (Comelec).

Atty. Joseph Vega, election officer of the Antipolo City Comelec, said his office has received the COCs of 60 individuals who are each eyeing a specific post in the city.

Vega however did not disclose to Manila Bulletin the names of the COC filers and instead gave the breakdown of the number of candidates.

For mayor, there are seven aspirants including re-electionist Mayor Andrea Bautista Ynares.

For vice mayoral post, there are four filers including re-electionist Vice Mayor Josefina Gatlabayan.

There are 22 individuals who are vying for a seat in the Sangguniang Panlungsod for the first district and 21 others for the second district.

There are three filers for the first district of the House of Representatives and one for the second district, while one each for the position of Board Member for the first and second district, respectively.
