Police arrested actor Jake Cuenca following a car chase in Mandaluyong City Saturday night, Oct. 9.
This was revealed by Eastern Police District-National Capital Region Police Director P/BGen. Matthew Bacay following operations, during an interview on DzBB.
It started when the vehicle of Cuenca rammed the police patrol cars. Despite this, the actor continued to drive.
Operatives pursued the vehicle. When the escaping vehicle was cornered somewhere on Shaw Blvd., it was discovered that the driver of the vehicle was Cuenca.
Cuenca tried to escape again. It was at this point that one of the police officers shot one of the tires of the actor’s vehicle. Cuenca’s car finally stopped. Unfortunately, a stray bullet hit a Grab driver nearby.
Following Cuenca’s arrest, police immediately checked his vehicle. No illegal items were found inside the car of Kylie Verzosa’s boyfriend, reports added.
Charges of reckless imprudence resulting to damage to property were filed against the actor, police said.
He (Jake Cuenca) was arrested kasi mayroong tayong ikakaso sa kanya na reckless imprudence resulting to damage to property.”
